Sun Microsystems/Whitbread Round the World Race

Managing the activation of Sun Microsystems as a sponsor of Teams EF Language and EF Education (all women’s team) was the beginning of my career working on global sailing events – and understanding sailing in general. As a late sponsor to the teams, we took advantage of the stopovers to create executive briefing events for customers, employee participation activities, and worked with local media to generate coverage. Not only was EF Education the only all-women team in the race, promoting women and gender equality, but EF Language won the race overall.
